The working principle of a vacuum baffle valve is that the valve plate seals by moving up and down through the valve stem. There are three types of transmission components that drive the valve stem to move: manual, electric, and pneumatic. The manual transmission components are mainly threaded in structure, and can also use a flat cam structure. Figure 1 and Figure 2 are schematic diagrams of the structure of right angle and straight through vacuum flapper valves, respectively. The manual dual purpose transmission component consists of an electric motor, worm gear, and worm, and is equipped with a travel switch.

When the power is turned on, the motor rotates in a certain direction (such as the opening direction) and drives the valve stem to move upwards through the worm gear and worm, causing the valve plate to rise. When the valve rises to a certain height, the travel switch automatically cuts off the power, and the valve stem movement immediately stops, and vice versa. When manual, loosen the back cap of the handwheel and rotate the handwheel in a certain direction by hand.
The pneumatic transmission components are powered by compressed dry air and change the direction of the air circuit through an electromagnetic directional valve, driving the cylinder piston to move up and down, driving the valve stem to move up and down, causing the valve plate to open and close, thereby achieving the goal of connecting or stopping the airflow.
There are two types of vacuum flapper valves: high vacuum flapper valves and ultra-high vacuum flapper valves. The high vacuum baffle valve is used to connect or cut off air flow in high vacuum systems. Applicable pressure range: 1.3 when the shaft seal is made of rubber × 10-4-105Pa; 1.3 when the shaft seal is a corrugated pipe structure × 10-105Pa. Working medium temperature: -25~80 ℃ (sealed with nitrile rubber)- 30-150 ℃ (sealed with fluororubber). Valve body material: carbon steel nickel plated or stainless steel; The valve plate sealing material is nitrile rubber or fluororubber.
The ultra-high vacuum baffle valve is used to connect or cut off the airflow in the ultra-high vacuum system. Applicable pressure range is 1.3 × 10-3-105Pa. The valve is open and the baking temperature is less than 400 ℃; The valve body material is stainless steel; The valve plate material is oxygen free copper; The sealing material at the shaft seal is stainless steel corrugated pipe. The working medium used for these two types of vacuum flapper valves is clean air or clean gas that does not corrode the valve. Not suitable for long-term use in gases with strong corrosiveness to metals and containing particulate dust.
High vacuum flapper valve is widely used in vacuum systems of large and medium-sized high vacuum devices, such as vacuum deposition equipment, vacuum heat treatment furnace, vacuum brazing, high vacuum electron beam welder, ion beam etching equipment Space environment modeling equipment, etc.
